The HAI Watchdog Community & Awards Building on the foundation of the very successful Not On My Watch* infection prevention program, Kimberly-Clark is poised to launch an exciting new online community for healthcare professionals. The HAI Watchdog Community and the HAI Watchdog Awards will soon be available at www.haiwatchdog.com. The Community is designed to allow healthcare professionals to share information regarding the prevention of HAIs with peers via online discussions. This dynamic and interactive online program will offer a wide range of opportunities for healthcare professionals to learn from one another about HAI prevention and to share best practices that can be applied in other facilities. Prevention can be rewarding! As an integral part of the online HAI Watchdog Community, healthcare facilities will be invited to enter the HAI Watchdog Awards . Facilities with active programs or initiatives aimed at decreasing HAIs between October 1st 2009 and December 15th 2010 will be eligible to participate. Any activity meeting the above criteria is eligible, including hosting an HAI Bus Tour or a Not On My Watch* event. If your healthcare facility did something impactful and innovative, share your experience with the HAI Watchdog Community and your facility could be recognized for its achievement! An independent panel of healthcare experts will judge. In the true spirit of an online community, the HAI Watchdog Awards will also include a Clinician’s Choice award that allows healthcare professionals to vote for their favorite entries online. All entries will be posted at www.haiwatchdog.com so that others in the healthcare community can learn from these prevention programs and improve their own practices. The HAI Watchdog Community will offer other fun and interactive features, such as the opportunity to upload team photos and your own HAI message into a Not On My Watch* poster to print off and post in your facility.
